Celtics Fan Burns Markelle Fultz Jersey After Team Trades No. 1 Pick

Markelle Fultz already has at least one enemy in Boston.

After news surfaced that the Celtics have agreed to finalize a trade with the Philadelphia 76ers for the No. 1 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, a fan took to social media to burn his Fultz jersey.

That’s right. All of the fan’s hard-earned money was a complete waste after he decided to engulf his jersey in flames.

Bye @MarkelleFultz it's like I never knew ya. #Celtics #NoSaltJustGasoline ⛽️ #NotMyPointGuard

Way to go.

While Boston fans may be upset that they’re now going to miss out on the former Washington Huskies star, who is rated as the top prospect leading into the draft, it’s a business and the team did what they thought would be best in the future.

You know what’s not a smart move? Dropping money on a custom jersey based on the possibility a player could land with your team.
