Lacrosse Goalie Scores From Across Field After Opposing Goalie Is Caught Napping

This amounts to a full court shot, but is perhaps more impressive. With five seconds remaining in the third quarter of a lacrosse match between the Denver Outlaws and the Atlanta Blaze, the Denver goalie was caught napping.
While he sipped water from his water bottle, the Atlanta goalie heaved the ball the full length of the field and found the back of the net for a score.
This is why you wait for the clock to strike zero before taking a water break.

Impressive accuracy by the Atlanta goalie. It’s difficult enough to even get that kind of distance on it, let alone place in the net.
The Denver goalie was clearly upset about giving up two-points so easily, throwing his water bottle to the ground. It isn’t the bottles fault. No doubt he heard all of it from his teammates at the first opportunity.
Denver would end up losing the game 24-12, so this wasn’t the decisive score. But it sure didn’t help.
