FAU Football: John Franklin III Becomes Latest EMCC Player To Join Owls

The FAU football program has landed another talented transfer.
On Tuesday night, after announcing he would be transferring from Auburn, John Franklin III committed to play for Lane Kiffin and the Owls.
Franklin becomes the latest “Last Chance U” star to join the program. Other EMCC alum include fellow ex-FSU quarterback De’Andre Johnson, defensive end Tim Bonner, and tight ends coach Clint Trickett.
“I’m doing what I need to do for the betterment of myself as a player, and a man,” Franklin wrote on Instagram.
“I’m coming home and looking forward to playing my last collegiate season at FAU under coach Lane Kiffin and excited to see what God has in store for me on this journey.”

Along with Franklin and Johnson at quarterback, FAU also landed former Oklahoma quarterback Chris Robinson, so they will have plenty of talent at the position.
FAU opens its 2017 campaign on Friday, Sept. 1 against Navy.
