Jim Harbaugh Calls Violent Protests 'Disrespectful To Our Flag'

The coach of the Michigan Wolverines has never been shy about stepping outside the world of football. For better or worse, Jim Harbaugh is more than just a football coach, and he wears his personality and thoughts on his sleeve.
On Monday, he tweeted something everyone should be able to agree with.
Harbaugh’s tweet, though not explicitly stated, is likely in response to the violent protests in Charlottesville, Virginia that left one person dead, and 19 injured.

Not so much a political statement here or there, Harbaugh’s tweet seemingly aims for due process and level-headedness. With two sides of the coin becoming increasingly radicalized and violent, there is fear that events like those that unfolded in Charlottesville will reoccur elsewhere.
With football season around the corner, and fans that fall across the board on the spectrum, most coaches are happy to keep their mouths mum on the issue and talk only X’s and O’s.
It’s Harbaugh’s willingness to speak out on things going on elsewhere in the world that has made him a fan favorite, both in and out of Ann Arbor.
