SNL Weekend Update returned on Thursday night for the second installment of its summer edition.
As you would have expected, the show touched on the heinous protests in Charlottesville where one white supremacist plowed his car into a crowd of people leaving one woman dead and many more injured.
The show also touched on President Donald Trump’s tone deaf response to the tragedy, where he compared Robert E. Lee to former presidents George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.
Check out hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che discussing the biggest news of the week.
If that wasn’t entertaining enough, late-night television hosts Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers, who both made strong statements against Trump on their nightly shows earlier in the week, stopped by to give their impressions of Washington and Jefferson.
All of this and Trump has only been in office for over half of a year. At least he made late-night television great again.
