What is there to be said about LaVar Ball that hasn’t already been said? Public opinion has finally turned on him after a nasty ordeal in which he made unsavory remarks about a female referee. Since that incident, he hasn’t gotten the coverage he had become accustomed to.
Or perhaps he was intentionally making an effort to stay out of the limelight. Well, dancing while kids are fighting will change that pretty quickly.
While coaching his Big Ballers AAU team, one of his players got into a shoving match with a player from the opposing Team Lillard. Referee’s and on-sight police officers scrambled to temper the excitement, and little resulted from it. Meanwhile, LaMelo took the opportunity to practice his dunking. And LaVar took the time to practice his celebrating LaMelo’s dunking… while the referee tried to speak to him.
Keep an eye around the 47-56 second marks in the video below.
Keep in mind that LaVar is the head coach of his AAU team, and instead of being proactive in ending the altercation that just took place, he decided to react this way. Shadow boxing and dancing might be an appropriate response for LaVar Ball, but for the rest of the adult world it’s almost hard to believe what you’re watching.
Big Ballers would go on to lose the game 116-95.
