Report: Rutgers Add Reclassified Four-Star Mamaou Doucoure

It remains unclear whether the Rutgers Scarlett Knights will have Mamou Doucoure on the court this season.

However, a search by the Ashbury Park Press on the online student database shows that he is already enrolled in classes this semester.

There were rumors of Doucoure’s desire to reclassify and join the Scarlett Knights earlier rather than later. If that is indeed what has happened, it will prove to be a huge boost for the Rutgers program this season. The 6-foot-9 power forward has been heavily recruited and could see starting minutes at some point this season.

He remains unlisted on the basketball roster, though. That could be something that is in the works, or it is possible that Doucoure won’t be on the floor this season. Either way, exposure to the next level of basketball can only help his game. And while the Scarlett Knights would love to get him some regulation time experience as soon as possible, the fact that he has enrolled in the school has to be considered a big win for the program.
