Boston Red Sox Triple-A Affiliate Hosting 'Kyrie Irving Night'

Boston sports fans have been buzzing since the addition of Kyrie Irving to the Boston Celtics.
In fact, the entire sports family in Beantown is coming together to celebrate the trade that brought Irving over from the Cleveland Cavaliers, which includes the Boston Red Sox’s Triple-A affiliate in Pawtucket.
During a game on Thursday night between the Pawtucket Red Sox and Buffalo Bisons, any fan who shows up wearing Celtics gear or in green will receive free admission to the game.
“We know how popular the Boston Celtics are throughout the area,” PawSox executive vice president and general manager Dan Rea said in a statement, via SportsIllustrated. “We hope that our fans will enjoy an evening that trumpets Kyrie Irving’s arrival.”
One lucky fan in attendance will discover a shamrock under their seat which will win the fan “11 complimentary flex tickets to 2018 regular season games, 11 hot dogs, 11 free caps from the team’s store and 11 baseballs autographed by PawSox members.”
Irving will be wearing No. 11 in Boston.
You have to give it to minor league baseball teams; they’re always finding ways to pander to specific fan bases and put butts in the seats. We will learn very quickly just how much drawing power Irving has in Boston.
