Boston College Loses Captain Jon Baker For Season To Knee Injury

Boston College might have emerged victorious over Northern Illinois last week, but it came at a huge cost. The Eagles announced on their own website that they’ve lost an important player on their team to injury for the rest of the season.
The Eagles be without their team captain Jon Baker for the rest of the year.
Baker sustained a knee injury that will sideline him for the entirety of the season, ending his streak of 36-consecutive games played. 27 of those games were as a starter.
Baker was a senior when the season began, but will be able to return for another year thanks to being medically redshirted. Had the injury happened later in the season, that option might not have been available to him.
Boston College opened its ACC schedule today against Wake Forest and trails at the end of the first quarter. Starting in Baker’s place is Alec Lindstrom, who replaced him for the one play he missed in the fourth quarter of last weeks game.
It appears Windstorm will be BC’s answer at center going forward.
