UGA Football: Bulldog Clinch National Championship Berth In Epic Rose Bowl

The UGA football program is going to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
After an epic 54-48 win over the No. 2 Oklahoma Sooners in double-overtime, the Bulldogs punched their ticket to the national championship where they will face either No. 1 Clemson or No. 4 Alabama.
UGA clinched the victory after a wild sequence of events in the second overtime period.
First, the Bulldogs came away with a blocked field goal attempt.

Following the block, the Bulldogs needed just three points for a victory.
Instead of playing it safe, senior running back Sony Michel took a direct snap and found the edge before rumbling into the endzone for the walk-off score.

Well done, Georgia.
It was one of the best Rose Bowl matchups in the game’s history and now the Bulldogs will look to continue riding that high into the national championship next week.
Kickoff at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Jan. 8 is set for 8:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
