Legendary football coach Steve Spurrier returned to Williams-Brice Stadium on Saturday for the South Carolina Gamecocks Spring Game. Of course, Spurrier took the field as a special guest.
Unfortunately, things did not go as planned for the Head Ball Coach.
Spurrier was supposed to be on the receiving end of a celebrity touchdown pass, but he failed to reel in the pass which should have been an easy score.
Spurrier remained sprawled on the turf in disbelief.

To be fair, Spurrier won the Heisman Trophy during his playing days as a quarterback, not a wide receiver. And he’s 72 years old, so we will give him a pass.
As a head coach of the Gamecocks, Spurrier led the team to an 86-49 record. It’s safe to say he wouldn’t have had as many wins if his wide receivers performed the way he did during the Spring Game.
