NFL Draft Rumors: 99.9 Percent Chance Kyler Murray Goes To Cardinals

Heisman Trophy winner Kyler Murray is one of the top prospects in the 2019 NFL Draft. The former Oklahoma Sooners star quarterback has been linked to the Arizona Cardinals with the No. 1 overall pick, and it now looks like it is a virtual lock for Murray to land in Phoenix.
According to ESPN draft insider Mel Kiper Jr., there is a 99.9 percent chance that Murray ends up being selected by Kliff Kingsbury and the Cardinals.
Kiper shared his thoughts during a recent appearance on ESPN’s First Take.

Will Cain: If you put a percentage chance on it, what do you think the odds are that Kyler Murray goes No. 1 to the Cardinals?
Kiper: 99.9-percent.
Cain: That’s definitive.”
Max Kellerman: McShay, do you feel the same way? C’mon Todd, top him.
McShay: The only reason I brought it up is because I’m driving home on Thursday night after we did a bunch of shows, Kiper’s flying out to Baltimore, I’m driving up to Boston, and I get a phone call from a general manager. I pull off to a rest stop and the first thing he says to me is ‘Are you sure about Kyler at No. 1?’ I was like ‘Yes, everyone’s telling me that. Why, do you know something?’ And he says ‘No, just kind of hearing some stuff.’ And that was it.
And I was like ‘Tell me, is there’s something?’ and he was like ‘I don’t know, just make sure you’re sure if you say he’s going to be the No. 1 pick.’ I said ‘Alright, gotcha,’ and called a bunch of people over the weekend, and everyone still seems to think he’s going to be the No. 1 pick.’”

Fellow draft insider Todd McShay did not seem as convinced so we will have to see how things shake up later this week.
The 2019 NFL Draft will take place between April 25 and April 27 in Nashville, Tennessee. Nashville earned the honor of hosting the 84th annual player selection over cities Denver, Kansas City, Las Vegas, and Cleveland/Canton.
