3-Star LB Tadarrius Patterson commits to Louisville

The Louisville Cardinals have picked up a defensive force, as three-star linebacker Tadarrius Patterson announced on Wednesday he will be joining the program as a member of the Class of 2017.

Patterson made the announcement on his Twitter account.

Patterson, a standout atĀ George Washington Carver High School in Birmingham, Alabama, had previously named the Tennessee Vols an early leader in his recruitment. The three-star defender also took visits to Alabama and attended a football camp at Ole Miss, but ultimately chose the Cardinals.

Patterson is the 89th overall player at his position and the 45th-ranked recruit in the state of Alabama.
