Bill Snyder says two former Big 12 teams want back in

On Monday, the Big 12 approved the possibility of a conference expansion and said that they are planning on adding at least two more teams to the fold. It looks like Kansas State head coach Bill Snyder is sure of a few former teams wanting back in.

Over the last few years, the Big 12 lost Colorado to the PAC-12, Nebraska to the Big Ten and both Texas A&M and Missouri to the SEC. Cameron Brock of Heartland College Sports spoke with Snyder and he said that two of those teams possibly want to re-enter the conference in the near future, but it is unclear which ones would want to do so.

“I may be wrong and other people may see it differently, but I don’t think anyone could be in a better situation than the teams we have in our conference,” Snyder said. “I’ll tell you what. There are teams that left our conference right now that wish they could get back in our conference.”

He responded to a follow-up question by saying that there are “two I know of” when it comes to them wanting to return into the conference. It is unclear what teams would want to return to the Big 12, but I would venture to guess Colorado, who has struggled since making the move to the PAC-12, would be one of them.

Missouri has seen recent success in the SEC, winning the division title in its first two seasons, while Nebraska gets a pretty big paycheck to play in the Big Ten. Texas A&M would be interesting to make the move back since they left big-time rivalries when making the move to the SEC.
