Brendon Clements dismissed from Navy after violation of team rules

The Navy Midshipmen had one of their best seasons in program history last year, going 11-2 and winning the Military Bowl. They are looking to do much of the same this year, but will be without cornerback Brendon Clements.

It was reported last week by the Capital Gazette that Clements had been dismissed from the team after a violation of team rules.

This is the second time he has been kicked off the team by head coach Ken Niumatalolo after disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace charges in Feburary.

This is a huge blow for the Midshipmen as Brendon Clements was their most experienced returning defensive back this year.  He started 35 games over three seasons with Navy.

Last year, he recorded a career-best 52 tackles and led the team with four interceptions.
