Breshad Perriman didn’t tear ACL, ‘will be fine for the season’

Last week, it was reported that Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Breshad Perriman had torn his ACL and would likely miss some time in the 2016 season. However, it doesn’t look like the team’s 2015 draft pick will be losing any significant time in what will essentially be his rookie season.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is now reporting Perriman has not torn his ACL.

The second-year receiver got a stem-cell injection on Tuesday and should be ready to go when the Ravens take the field this year.

Schefter also confirmed that Perriman had received arthroscopic surgery on his knee as a precautionary measure. This showed that his ACL was “stable” and he will be ready for the regular season.

During his three-year career at Central Florida, Breshad Perriman recorded 2,243 yards and 16 touchdowns.

The Ravens might be without veteran receiver Steve Smith Sr. for some time into the 2016 season. The presence of Perriman would be a huge plus for the team this year.
