Chad Voytik to visit Indiana, Memphis

Former Pittsburgh Panthers quarterback Chad Voytik announced his intentions to transfer from the school just a few months ago and it looks like he is already trying to decide on his new college home. He is currently scheduled to take visits to a Power Five conference school and another school that is losing their star quarterback to the NFL.

It was reported on Sunday that Voytik will visit Indiana, Memphis, and Eastern Kentucky in the coming weeks. Jerry DiPaola of Trib. Total Media reported the news via Twitter.

Indiana would be an interesting selection for Voytik simply because they just Nate Sudfeld to graduation. Memphis would also be fun to watch seeing as how former Pitt wide receiver coach Mike Norvell is the new head coach of the Tigers and Paxton Lynch is going to the NFL.

Chad Voytik joined Pittsburgh in 2012, where he took a redshirt. He became the starter during his sophomore season in 2014, throwing for 2,233 yards and 16 touchdowns against seven interceptions. He also rushed for 466 yards and three touchdowns that season.

Voytik lost the starting job to Nate Peterman at various points throughout the 2015 season, which led to his decision to transfer. He should earn a graduate transfer, meaning he would be able to play his final season of eligibility immediately.
