Chattanooga TE Steve Pickren transferring back to UAB

UAB will be getting back on the football field in 2017 and it looks like they are trying to build a good team to have a great showing in the first season back. They have just received a former player as Steve Pickren will transfer back to UAB next year.

After the 2014 season, UAB’s last before terminating its program, Pickren transferred to Chattanooga, where he was a blocking tight end and did not record a catch. He helped the team win the Southern Conference championship, but decided to skip the 2016 season and return to his old stomping grounds.

Just look forward to helping the team any way I can,” Pickren told AL.com. “I love and respect everyone at UTC, but I’ve never had a better coach than Coach [Bill] Clark. So excited to play for him and the Blazers again.”

Steve Pickren played two seasons for UAB, starting two of the 15 games he played in. He was mainly a blocking tight end there as well as he didn’t record a catch with the Blazers.
