Video: Eric Striker flashes bat skills in softball game

Oklahoma Sooners linebacker Eric Striker is a beast on the gridiron, but could be in line for a career on the baseball diamond in case football doesn’t pan out for him. In the Sooners’ “Ball For A Cause” softball game, held annually ahead of Oklahoma’s spring game, Striker stepped up to the plate and launched a long home run.

Yes, it’s softball and not anywhere close to the same level as actual baseball, but Striker’s form at the plate is near perfect. The fact that he was able to smack the ball out of the park so effortlessly is a testament to his overall strength and gives NFL teams plenty to be excited about ahead of the NFL Draft. Even better is that after rounding the bases, Striker offered a little celebration dance as if he just scored a touchdown.

Thus, if the NFL doesn’t work out as planned, perhaps Striker should spend some time at the batting cages just in case!
