Former Alabama WR Chris Black headed to Mizzou

Former Alabama wide receiver Chris Black will transfer to Missouri, according to a post on his Twitter.

A former four-star recruit from Jacksonville, Black will be immediately eligible to play for the Tigers as a graduate transfer. 2016 will be his final year of eligibility.

Black also turned some heads last week when he took some subtle shots at Alabama over how he never got a chance to come back from an injury, as he spent most of his time in Tuscaloosa on the shelf. In three seasons, he had just 25 catches for 290 yards and two scores.

But Black now has the opportunity to play with a clean slate at Missouri, a team getting ready for its first year under coach Barry Odom. Just how well Black will do remains to be seen, especially with the Tigers’ quarterback situation up in the air following Maty Mauk’s dismissal, but he will at least be able to close out his college career on something resembling a high note.
