Former Arkansas RB Jonathan Williams arrested, charged with DWI

Former Arkansas Razorbacks star running back Jonathan Williams was arrested early Thursday morning in Fayetteville and charged with driving while intoxicated.

The news was initially rpeorted by KATV in Arkansas.

After the news was reported, the Bills swiftly responded with a statement on the matter.

“We are aware of the report and are in the process of gathering information. We have notified the league office of the report under the rules of the NFL Personal Conduct Policy,” the team said.

During his time at Arkansas — which did not include his senior season that he was forced to miss due to injury — Williams rushed for 2,321 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Williams went on to become the Buffalo Bills’ fifth-round pick in this year’s draft.
