Bryce Dejean-Jones, just 23 years old, played his senior year with the Cyclones after spending his first three years at USC and UNLV. He was undrafted in 2015, but signed a three-year contract with the Pelicans.
He played in 14 games for the Pelicans this year and averaged 5.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game before breaking his wrist and missing the remainder of the season.
Certainly more information will become available in the coming days. In the meantime, Campus Sports would like to send its condolences to his family and the Pelicans.
