Frank Gore upset with performance in 2015 season

Indianapolis Colts running back Frank Gore hasn’t been the same player since leaving San Francisco and he had a rather disappointing 2015 season. He knows that his season wasn’t up to snuff on what he hoped it would be and he let everyone know that.

In his 11-year career, Gore has rushed for 1,000 yards eight times and he fell just short of doing it last year, recording 967 for the Colts. He says that missing the mark still eats him up sometimes.

I’m not over it. I’m not going to be over it until I do it,” he told NBC Sports’ Michael David Smith.

With one more 1,000-yard season, Frank Gore would be in top five on the all-time list for most seasons with the mark. He would join a list that includes Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton, Barry Sanders, and Curtis Martin, a good group of players to be mentioned alongside.

He most recently went for over 1,000 yards in 2014 when he recorded 1,104 yards during his last season with the San Francisco 49ers. He should have a few more good years left on his legs, so he could making history before his career comes to an end.
