Jimbo Fisher provides Dalvin Cook update

Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher recently met with reporters to discuss the recovery of star running back Dalvin Cook, who underwent shoulder surgery recently. Per Fisher, via a tweet from Tom D’Angelo of The Palm Beach Post, Cook’s rehab is progressing well and he should be ready for June camp.

That’s great for the news, as the Seminoles’ success in 2016 could very well rest on Cook’s shoulders. The quarterback situation is murky at best and a star defensive player in Jalen Ramsey is about to be drafted into the NFL, so a power running game may be the way to go in 2016.

Given how Cook, a former four-star recruit from Miami, rushed for 1,691 yards and 19 touchdowns and caught 24 passes for 244 yards and a touchdown in 2015, Fisher and the rest of the staff along with Florida State’s players can thus breathe a sigh of relief.
