Kendall Fuller to go ‘day two at latest’?

Former Virginia Tech cornerback Kendall Fuller’s medical rechecks on his knee are going well and according to Charlie Campbell of Walter Football, he could wind up being drafted on Day Two of the 2016 NFL Draft “at the latest.”

Campbell predicts that Fuller, a former four-star recruit out of the Washington DC area, will go between picks 24 and 42, which isn’t at all bad considering how he was limited to just three games last year because of his knee injury. In his two-plus years with the Hokies, he had 119 tackles with eight interceptions, six of which came in his freshman season.

Even better is that Fuller is expected to be ready and raring to go in time for training camp, so that could further up his stock. In a draft that has seen guys like UCLA linebacker Myles Jack and Notre Dame linebacker Jaylon Smith’s stocks fall due to knee injuries, it’s nice to know that Fuller’s story will at least have a happy ending.
