North Carolina junior forward Kennedy Meeks may score most of his points in the paint during actual games, but looked to extend his range during the Tar Heels’ shootaround today as everyone got a feel for Houston’s NRG Stadium.
Sure enough, the former McDonald’s All-American hit an insane trick shot. From behind the scorer’s table.
UNC basketball was lucky enough to catch video of the shot and post it to Twitter. Check it out below!

Granted, as fun as that shot was to witness, odds are greater than none that Meeks will not take a shot from anywhere close to that range. The whole point of a shootaround is to do just that: shoot around. It’s about getting loose and there isn’t any rhyme or reason to it.
Still, going up against a tough Syracuse defense, don’t be shocked if Meeks and his teammates are forced to get creative tonight with a spot in the national championship game on the line.
Tip-off is slated for 8:49 p.m. ET on TBS, so be sure to tune in!
