Kevin Owens, Tyler Breeze start GoFundMe campaign for fire victims

Some professional wrestlers may play bad guys on television, but really, most of them are pretty cool guys in real life. Kevin Owens and Tyler Breeze are both showing that after they started a GoFundMe campaign for victims of the wildfires that have swept through Alberta, Canada over the last few days.

The pair of wrestlers, both of whom are Canada natives with Owens being from Marieville, Quebec and Breeze from Penticton, started the campaign on Saturday with an initial goal of $30,000. Owens wrote that he and Breeze both donated $100 apiece and whoever matches that donation would get a special video message from them and they would both follow them on Twitter as long as you included you e-mail and Twitter handle.

In less than 24 hours, the campaign, which is slated to end on May 22, the same day as WWE’s next pay-per-view Eztreme Rules, has raised over $22,000.

Here is a short excerpt of what Owens wrote in the campaign:

“We appreciate any help we can get with this campaign. We set the goal at $30,000 but I’m sure we can smash through that together and make a difference in the lives of people who could really use some help at the moment.

Please, if you can, donate. If not, RT and share this on your social media. Any help at all is truly appreciated.
Thanks everyone!”

With two weeks left to go until the end of the campaign, which you can donate to at this link, there is no questioning that Kevin Owens and Tyler Breeze will be meeting their goal.
