Kliff Kingsbury fills to vacancies on Texas Tech staff

The Texas Tech Red Raiders had three vacancies on its coaching staff, but now that is down to one.

On Thursday, head coach Kliff Kingsbury hired Jabbar Juluke as the team’s running backs coach and Kevin Patrick to lead the defensive line. Juluke coached running backs at Louisiana Tech, while Patrick spent the last two seasons coaching up the at North Texas.

“We are extremely excited to add Coach Juluke to our staff,” Kingsbury said in a statment. “With his recruiting ties, energy and coaching experience, he is a valuable addition to our program.”

Kingsbury also acknowledged the hiring of Patrick.

“We are extremely excited to add Coach Patrick to our staff,” he added. “He has coached and developed some of the best defensive lineman in college football. He brings a wealth of experience and will be a great addition to our program.”

With the additions of Juluke and Patrick to the Texas Tech staff, the final position available is a defensive assistant.
