There is no question that much of Notre Dame’s athletes and fans are likely fans of the Chicago Cubs. It makes a lot of sense that head basketball coach Mike Brey will throw out the first pitch at tonight’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals.
It is the second year in a row that Brey is taking to the mound for the Cubs, who happen to be the best team in the MLB this year. He will also sing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” during the seventh inning stretch.

Mike Brey did a terrific job of throwing out the first pitch last year, so he hopes of doing much of the same tonight.
The game is set to start at 8:05 p.m. EST tonight.
