Myles Jack insists knee is fine

Former UCLA linebacker Myles Jack has seen his stock fall this month due to concerns over a knee injury suffered last season, but he himself states that he is fine and believes the concerns are a smokescreen.

“As far as my knee goes, it’s absolutely fine. I’ve been working out for teams,” Jack told The Dan Patrick Show on Thursday. “I think you guys have seen the videos and stuff, so on my end everything’s fine. I don’t know if this is a smokescreen or whatever it is, but at the end of the day, whoever wants to take me will take me. I’m not worried about it.”

Jack tore his meniscus in a Bruins practice last September and immediately declared for the draft. He did not participate in the NFL Scouting Combine but many medical rechecks on the knee have raised red flags, with some doctors describing it as a ticking time-bomb. In spite of that, after posting 178 tackles, four interceptions for 111 yards and 19 pass breakups as a college linebacker, he may be one of the best overall athletes in the entire NFL Draft.

Needless to say, with Draft Day just a week away, it’s going to be interesting to see when Jack ends up getting selected.
