The North Dakota State Bison are the best football team in the country at the FCS level and will go down as one of the best to ever take the field in the history of the sport. They have had some pretty great coaches and they just nailed down Chris Klieman for the next six years.
Klieman’s contract had expired following the team’s fifth straight national title earlier this year, but the Bison did not want to see him go just yet. They announced on Friday that he has signed a new six-year deal, locking him up through the 2021 season.
“I am very blessed to have the best job in FCS football,” Klieman said. “I am thankful for Matt Larsen and President Bresciani for their continued support and belief in our vision as a staff and football program. NDSU has tremendous student-athletes who are receiving an outstanding education and foundation for excellence which are showcased and supported by an unbelievable fan base and institution.”
Chris Klieman took over for Craig Bohl in 2014 and helped the Bison win the last two national championships, pushing their streak out to five. He did this all while going 28-3 and nailing down big wins over FBS opponents.
There is no question that the Bison are one of the best teams in the country and they are looking to continue their dominance into the 2016 season.
