NFL Draft 2016: Jonathan Williams in premier of RB class

The running back position in the NFL Draft is pretty impressive. Greg Cosell recently joined the Ross Tucker Football Podcast and discussed this year’s class and said that running backs Ezekiel Elliott and Jonathan Williams are at the top of the class.

Cosell discussed Elliott, saying that he is obviously the best running back in the fraft. For Williams, however, he went on to say that he is just a tad bit faster than the former Buckeye and gave him a ton of praise.

“I think he’s a little quicker, laterally, than Elliott,” Cosell began when discussing Williams. “He has all the traits… to function well in an NFL environment.”

Williams missed the entire 2015 season with a broken foot, but has been preparing hard to get ready for the NFL Draft. During his career with the Arkansas Razorbacks, Jonathan Williams rushed for 2,321 yards, including 1,190 in 2014, and 16 touchdowns.

He is getting pushed to the back of the list because of Razorback counterpart Alex Collins, who went for over 1,000 yards in each of the last three seasons, but getting praise over Elliott is certainly something to be proud of.
