NFL Draft 2016: Karl Joseph expected to go in first round

Former West Virginia safety Karl Joseph looks like he could be one of the more-talented players in the 2016 NFL Draft this year, but the only thing that held him back was torn ACL during the 2015 college football season. However, there seems to be a growing trend that he will hear his name called on Thursday.

Mike Florio of NBC Sports reported that the general feel around Joseph is that he will end up in the first round of the draft this weekend. There is no telling who will take him and at what spot he will get drafted, but it is pretty apparent that more than one or two teams are high on Joseph right now.

Many believe that Joseph would have been a surefire first rounder had he not gotten hurt last year. In just four games, he had already recorded five interceptions before sitting out the rest of the year with the knee injury.

During his career at West Virginia, Karl Joseph recorded 274 tackles, 16 for loss, and nine interceptions. He certainly has a chance to be one of the better safeties to come out of the 2016 NFL Draft this year.

You can watch the first round of the draft live on ESPN and NFL Network at 8 p.m. EST this Thursday.
