On Friday, North Carolina Tar Heels head men’s basketball coach Roy Williams underwent successful knee replacement surgery. North Carolina announced the surgery — which doctors say “went well” — on social media.

Last season, the Tar Heels fell to Villanova in the national championship after a 33–7 (14–4 ACC) season.
They will look to make another deep run in the NCAA Tournament next season with a healthy coach roaming the sidelines.
