Notre Dame shows off players’ internships

Most of the time, fans forget that their favorite college athletes are students and most of them do care about getting their degrees, which is why many are surprised when big name players land internships with major companies.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish showed off some of their players’ internship opportunities on Friday.

There have been some pretty cool player internships in the past, like Tennessee quarterback Joshua Dobbs working with NASA last summer. Notre Dame is represented with some big-name companies including quarterback DeShone Kizer working with General Electric and safety Drue Tranquill working with Arco Murray.

It looks like the Fighting Irish are keeping their tradition of being both a power in football and in academics. If these players perform as well as they do in the classroom on the football field, they should be doing just fine this season.

The Fighting Irish opens the season on September 4 on the road against Texas.
