Notre Dame’s Malik Zaire posts tribute to ex-teammate Greg Bryant

Notre Dame Fighting Irish quarterback Malik Zaire remains close friends with his former teammate, Greg Bryant, who was set to begin his career with UAB after a transfer last season.

On Saturday morning, it was reported that Bryant was in critical condition after being shot while driving, and Zaire quickly learned of the news. The signal-caller took to social media to share a heartfelt tribute to Bryant, urging everyone to continue praying for his friend while he fights for his life.

My brudda since day 1. We did everything together! It’s to hurts to hear the news, but I know you gone keep fighting because #18 we will always overcome. #Godwilling🙏 Praying for ya brudda,” Zaire wrote on his Instagram account

According to reports, Bryant and another man were found shot in a car in the southbound lanes of Interstate-95. The two men were then taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center for treatment.

It is clear by Zaire’s message that Bryant has positively impacted a number of people in his life, so let’s hope he is able to pull through and make a full and speedy recovery.
