Ohio State DB Armani Reeves addresses playing status, concussion issues

Ohio State defensive back Armani Reeves did not play at all in 2015 as he battled concussion issues and recently took to Twitter to address his future.

To be brief, it was emotional because though medical staff at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center cleared him, Ohio State’s did not.

Just what’s next for the former four-star recruit from Boston remains to be seen. He could try and transfer to another program in hopes of getting medically cleared there, but even that seems unlikely. Concussions are not something to be taken lightly, especially with CTE becoming a growing issue with each passing year, so odds are greater than none that Reeves’ football career is over.

If that is the case, it ends with quite a bit to be proud of, namely being on the field for the Buckeyes’ national championship victory against Oregon in 2014. His Columbus career ends with 42 tackles, an interception and 11 pass breakups.
