Penn State QB Christian Hackenberg declares for draft

One of the most intriguing quarterback prospects in the 2016 NFL Draft class, Penn State’s Christian Hackenberg, announced following his team’s loss in the TaxSlayer Bowl that he would be forgoing his final year of eligibility to declare for the draft.

Hackenberg had his final bowl game appearance cut short due to a shoulder injury, but finished his 2015 campaign with 2,386 yards, 16 touchdowns and five interceptions.

The junior signal-caller informed reporters of his decision after the team’s loss.

There are very different opinions on Hackenberg, with many believing he is one of the top talents and other scared off by his attitude and inconsistency.

However, if you ask some top talent evaluators, Hackenberg’s raw skills will be enough to get him drafted in the first-round of the upcoming draft in Chicago.
