Photo: Amile Jefferson graduates, shows off Duke championship ring

Over the weekend, Duke Blue Devils big man Amile Jefferson walked across the stage in his cap and gown for graduation. While Jefferson now has his diploma, he is not done as a member of the basketball team.

After receiving his diploma, Jefferson showed off his excitement by flashing his other prized possession, his national championship ring, to the camera.

Jefferson received a fifth-year of eligibility from the NCAA and is set to return to the court in 2016 after missing much of last season due to a foot injury.

In his limited time last season, Jefferson averaged a double-double — 11.4 points, 10.3 rebounds — in 30.3 minutes per game.

The Blue Devils will be happy to have Amile Jefferson back on the court as they look to defend their national championship, likely entering the season as the No. 1 team in the country.
