Purdue, Louisville to square off at Lucas Oil Stadium in 2017

The Purdue Boilermakers haven’t been a terrific team for a long time and they hope to get things turned around very soon. The best way to do that is to play and beat big name teams from across the country.

They will be doing just that when they face off against Louisville to open the 2017 season.

The team announced on their official website that they will square off with the Cardinals at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis in a neutral-site game on September 2, 2017.

This could be a big matchup for Purdue as they look to build their program up over the next two seasons. They also announced that they will play a home-and-home series against Boston College in 2018 and 2020.

The Boilermakers and Cardinals have met up once in the past on September 19, 1987. The two teams ended in a 22-22 tie.
