Report: Austin Grandstaff leaving Oklahoma basketball team

Austin Grandstaff’s time with the Oklahoma Sooners was over before it really even got a chance to begin.

After playing ten games with the Ohio State Buckeyes, Grandstaff cut his freshman season short to transfer to Oklahoma in January. However, just five months later, 247Sports’ Jerry Meyer is reporting that Grandstaff has decided to “part ways” with the program.

Had he remained with the team, Grandstaff would have been eligible to return to the court mid-season for the Sooners.

However, the former four-star recruit will now begin looking for a new home if he wishes to resume his collegiate basketball career.
