To say that Pittsburgh running back James Conner had a pretty tumultuous 2015 season would be an understatement. He was expected to be one of the best running backs in the ACC before he suffered a season-ending torn MCL early on in the season.
Near the end of the season, it was revealed that Conner had been diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma. This was certainly devastating news to all, but he has been doing all he can to get back healthy.
According to ESPN’s Jared Shanker, head coach Pat Narduzzi said that Conner is doing well and hoping to recover. Narduzzi even said that Conner “looks like he could still play” in 2016.

This is certainly good news for anyone involved with Conner and the Panthers. It may be a tough road to recovery, but Conner is certainly one of the toughest players in the country.
During the 2014 season, Conner rushed for 1,765 yards and 26 touchdowns, the most in the ACC. That was good enough to win him the Player of the Year award in the conference.
Campus Sports would like to wish Conner the best of luck on his road to recovery.
