Ryan Tannehill’s accuracy still a huge concern

The Miami Dolphins haven’t made the playoffs since the 2011 season and quarterback Ryan Tannehill is trying to prove he can be an elite player in the NFL. However, there still seem to be some concerns with him on the field under new head coach Adam Gase.

It was reported by The Miami Herald that Tannehill is looking to improve under Gase, who is an offensive guru and should help him. However, the former Chicago Bears’ offensive coordinator talked about his accuracy being a big issue.

“There have been a few throws where I would like to see the ball placement be a little better,” Gase said Thursday. “There have been a few times, too, where they haven’t been on the same page where [Tannehill] is going where he’s supposed to go and the receiver didn’t stem it vertical enough [and as a result] it looks like a poor throw. That’s the development of the offense. You’re not going to be perfect from the get go.”

Over the last two years, Ryan Tannehill has thrown 51 touchdowns against just 24 interceptions, which is a pretty good mark for any quarterback. Gase can help him improve greatly and quite possibly turn him into the elite quarterback they want him to be.
