Terrell Suggs charged with 2 misdemeanors from Arizona crash

Just a few weeks ago, Baltimore Ravens’ linebacker Terrell Suggs was arrested in Scottsdale, Arizona after police said he struck a wall and left the scene. He has since been charged and he is lucky they aren’t a lot more serious than they could have been.

TMZ reported that Suggs has been slapped with two misdemeanor charges of driving with a suspended license and failure to notify after striking a fixture. If he is convicted of these two crimes, Suggs could face minimal jail time.

Right now, the suspended license charge could net him up to six months in jail, but does carry a lighter sentence of 30 days in jail. Suggs was also cited for failure to control speed to avoid a collision, which forces him to pay a small fine.

Terrell Suggs has been a huge part of the Ravens’ defense since entering the league in 2003. He has recorded 107 sacks, including a career-high 14 in 2011, 511 tackles, and seven interceptions.

Suggs will likely face punishment from the NFL, given he isn’t in jail when the season begins. He is due in front of a judge in April.
