Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin addresses Tate Martell saga

It’s been quite the day for the Texas A&M Aggies football program and head coach Kevin Sumlin is ready to move on.

After five-star quarterback Tate Martell announced he was decommitting from the Aggies, A&M wide receivers coach Aaron Moorehead went on a Twitter tirade complete with subtweets about loyalty and trust.

His immature outburst led to Mannie Netherly, a four-star wide receiver in the 2017 class, also decommitting from the program.

Then, as the dominoes continued to fall, five-star wideout Tyjon Lindsey said he was no longer considering a commitment to Texas A&M thanks to Moorehead’s poorly thought out tweets.

Now, as the dust settles and Moorehead apologizes, Sumlin addressed the media to say his assistant will accept responsibility for his actions and that the team is ready to move on.

Let’s hope the Aggies can avoid any further drama with their 2017 recruiting class.
