UCLA, Under Armour to announce 15-year, $280 million deal

The UCLA Bruins athletic program has struck a major deal with Under Armour.

On Tuesday, ESPN.com revealed the news that UCLA and Under Armour have agreed to a whopping 15-year, $280 million deal which becomes the richest in college football history.

The deal tops deals with Nike ranging around $250 million by the Ohio State Buckeyes and Texas Longhorns.

Prior to the new deal with Under Armour, UCLA had a deal with adidas since 1999. Other programs to leave adidas in favor of Under Armour in recent years are the Wisconsin Badgers and Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Officials from Under Armour and UCLA declined to comment on the ESPN report.
