UFC 200: Daniel Cormier vs. Jon Jones set to headline event

The fiercest rivalry in mixed martial arts will finally be settled. On Wednesday, the Ultimate Fighting Championship officially announced the headliner for UFC 200.

After a scrap between featherweight champion Conor McGreogr and the only man to beat him in his UFC career, Nate Diaz, was scrapped, the UFC was left looking for a new main event. Wednesday, it was announced that a light heavyweight unification bout between champion Daniel Cormier and interim champ Jon Jones has been scheduled for the event.

It should be an incredible fight.

UFC 200 is set to take place on July 9 at the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

In addition to the Cormer-Jones rematch for the light heavyweight title, UFC 200 features a women’s bantamweight title fight between Miesha Tate and Amanda Nunes, along with an interim featherweight scrap between Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar.
