UNT LB Calvin Minor busted for marijuana possession

North Texas linebacker Calvin Minor was arrested Tuesday night and charged with “possession of less than two ounces of marijuana,” according to a report from Brett Vito of The Denton Chronicle.

Minor was initially stopped by police for running a stop sign, and the arresting officers smelled marijuana in the car. Minor then acknowledged that there was pot in the vehicle.

“I am aware of the arrest of one of our football players, Calvin Minor, earlier today,” Mean Green coach Seth Littrell said in a statement. “I have not had the opportunity to talk with Calvin yet and I’m still in the process of collecting information. I take these matters very seriously and will handle the situation appropriately when all the details become available.”

A former prep star out of the Dallas and Denton areas, Minor has posted 46 tackles and 2.5 sacks over the last two seasons, starting a total of five games.
