Utah State’s Dave Ungerer expected to join Fresno State’s coaching staff

Utah State special teams coordinator Dave Ungerer has been all over the country during his career and it looks like his time with the Aggies will soon be up. However, he won’t be without a job for long as it looks like he will be going farther west.

According to SI.com, Ungerer is expected to join the Fresno State coaching staff as their new special teams coordinator. He has been with the Aggies for the last three seasons and has seen action the West Coast in the past.

He was with the Washington State Cougars from 2010-2011 and Oregon State from 2007-2008. He has also served previous roles at Elon, Alabama, California and Lehigh, all of those running the special teams.

The Bulldogs had played the Mountain West Conference championship the last three years before going 3-9 during the 2015 season. Head coach Tim DeRuyter is getting a talented and respected coach for the 2016 season.
