Venator FC 3 results: Rousimar Palhares vs. Emil Weber Meek

On Saturday, mixed martial arts fans in the United States and Canada got the opportunity to tune in to some free fights, thanks to Venator FC 3. The event featured a number of notable fights and UFC veterans, including Che Mills, Cody McKenzie, Jason “Mayhem” Miller, Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, Matt Hamill, Luke Barnett and Rousimar Palhares.

It was a bizarre night in the Venator cage, with a no contest and the remainder of the fights finishing by either knockout or submission.

Unfortunately for some of the bigger names on the card like Mayhem and Palhares, things did not go as planned. Palhares was knocked out in under a minute while shooting for a takedown, while Mayhem was choked out in Round 2.  Palhares’ opponent, Emil Weber Meek, put on one of the better performances of the night and could soon receive a call from the UFC.

Matt Hamill also suffered a brutal knockout loss at the hands of Sokoudjou. Meanwhile, Luke Barnatt put on a great performance and scored a walk-off knockout in his title bout.

If you missed out on the live action, we have you covered.
